The Nevada Reno Mission

Today has been a historical day.
As of Sunday, July 1, 2012  there is  a
Nevada Reno Mission.
President Black and I, along with President and Sister Neider of the Nevada Las Vegas Mission,
went up north to welcome President and Sister Hermansen to Reno and to pass the baton on to them. There are 73 missionaries from the Las Vegas West Mission and 14 from the Las Vegas Mission that have been called to serve in the Reno Mission.
We are happy to see the missionary work move forward in the northern part of the state of Nevada  and are excited for those missionaries who will be serving under their direction.
After spending only a few hours with them we love President and Sister Hermansen and know that the elders and sisters in the mission will love them also.
Welcome to the Nevada Reno Mission!

  1. Sis. Black, I run the Nevada Las Vegas Mission alumni site. Do you have a large, electronic copy of the three Nevada missions' current boundaries? I'd very much like to post one on the alumni site. You can reach me at nevada-las-vegas@mission.net .

  5. Help! I have a good friend in the Renown hospital in Reno. Would really love it if someone could go give him a blessing tomorrow (November 26) He has had a stroke. He cannot hear, cannot see, cannot swallow, cannot speak, cannot move. But he has been a faithful member for 40+ years and I know he would really appreciate a priesthood blessing, even though he cannot respond. His name is Earl Beutler. I do not know what room he is in. His daughter is Joy Beutler Davis. She is not a member but is open to the church. Earl recently moved to Reno from Oregon. He likely will not survive more than a few days. Can you send two Elders to give him a blessing and to give Joy a message of comfort? Lynn Reber, 541-767-8312, Sutherlin, OR dennisreber@charter.net.

  6. MOM ELDER CHOI
QUIERO AGRADECER POR ESTE TIEMPO DE PREPARACION DE VIDA QUE HA TENIDO MI HIJO ELDER CHOI EN LA MISION, JUNTO A USTEDES Y POR TODO EL CARINO Y PROTECCION DE LOS MIEMBROS Y DE NUESTRO PADRE CELESTIAL.
MI HIJO ES UN JOVEN MUY AGRADECIDO, Y SE QUE LAS EXPERIENCIAS VIVIDAS DENTRO DE LA MISION FORTALECERAN SU VIDA FUTURA Y CON SU FAMILIA. PUES YO SE QUE AUN DENTRO DE LA MISION NO TODO ES COLOR DE ROSA NI JUSTO A NUESTRO PARECER, YO TAMBIEN SERVI EN UNA MISION...Y SE QUE NADA ES PERFECTO PERO DEBEMOS SER OBEDIENTES Y RESPETUOSOS DE NUESTROS LIDERES. PERO BUENO...SOLO ME SIENTO MUY FELIZ POR MI HIJO Y POR EL GRAN AMOR QUE EL TIENE POR NUESTRO AMADO HERMANO MAYOR JESUCRISTO Y POR LA IGLESIA.
MI TESTIMONIO SE FORTALECE CADA DIA, Y AHORA TENER A MI HIJO A MI LADO SERA DE GRAN ALEGRIA CONSUELO Y FORTALEZA PARA MI PUES EL MUCHAS VECES ES MI GRAN EJEMPLO DE VIDA.
    MUCHAS GRACIAS POR TODO.
Y ESPERO QUE ESTE MENSAJE LO LEAN ANTES PARA QUE SEPAN QUE YO IRE POR MI HIJO EL DIA 15 DE OCTUBRE.
POR FAVOR AVISAR AL PRESIDENTE DE LA MISSION.
    MUCHAS GRACIAS POR SUS ATENCIONES
    MACLOVIA PEREZ.
