Michael B. and Rebecca M. Ahlander

Last week in the Church News the new Mission President and his wife
were announced. We read the announcement with very mixed feelings.
Where have the past two and one half years gone?
Michael B. and Rebecca M. Ahlander are scheduled to begin serving about July 1, 2013

We had the opportunity to talk to the Ahlander's on the phone a couple of weeks ago for about 2 hours. We fell in love with them immediately! We are excited for them. We assured them of the greatness of this mission and of all the missionaries.
They asked us the very same questions that we asked the previous president. It seems like it
was such a short time ago that we were asking those questions!
The Ahlander's are in our prayers.

In the meantime, we continue to love serving here!

I used to live in their ward. Sister Ahlander was one of my young women's leaders. I also babysat for them a couple of times in my youth. Now, my son is going to be serving with them in the mission field. It is a small world.
