Transfers will take place on May 20th. This often means that
missionaries don't have time (or don't take time) to email that
day because of everything else going on....packing bags, cleaning,
tying up loose ends before they or their companion leave the
area, etc. So...if you don't hear from your son or daughter on
May 20th, don't panic....they are probably some way involved
in transfers!
Also, May 27th is Memorial Day. It is also p-day and the libraries,
where almost all the missionaries do their emails, will be closed.
However, on Wednesday (May 29th) and on Friday (May 31st) of
that week will be our quarterly temple day. After going to the temple
on whichever day is their assigned day, they will have time to go to the
libraries and email their families.
Just a reminder.....when the missionaries email live chat/instant
messaging is not allowed.
"Visits from family members, friends, and acquaintances (this
includes missionaries returning to town to visit!) are against
Church policy. The impact of such visits may extend far beyond
the visit itself, both before and after the visit and among other
missionaries." From the Missionary Handbook
We get calls and requests almost on a daily basis asking if friends,
family, etc. can take their missionary out to lunch or to dinner. It
can't happen. Please help your missionary to stay focused while he/she is
serving as a missionary.
Thank you again
